On March 15, the Laboratory Construction and Safety Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society successfully held the Laboratory Construction and Safety Management Seminar in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Shanghai Hanguang Technology was invited to attend and delivered a keynote presentation titled “The Value of Digital Innovation for Laboratory Safety.”
University laboratory users and industry experts gathered at the seminar to discuss laboratory safety from multiple perspectives, focusing on key topics such as safe laboratory construction, hazardous chemicals management, and laboratory safety maintenance.

At the seminar, President Hou Haifeng delivered a keynote presentation titled “The Value of Digital Innovation for Laboratory Safety.” Mr. Hou stated that innovation should be put into practice to create laboratories that are more efficient, visually appealing, and energy-saving, but the essential prerequisite is to ensure laboratory safety. With the arrival of the AI era, traditional laboratories are undergoing digital and intelligent transformation. Building digital twin platforms and advancing integrated digital supervision have become major trends in future university laboratory construction. Mr. Hou noted that technologies such as big data, mobile internet, and QR codes should be fully utilized to establish digital platforms, standardize risk prevention and control procedures, improve the precision of safety access management, and enable intelligent monitoring and early warning. Through the concept of digital management, laboratory safety management mechanisms and processes can be reshaped and optimized.
