The “30 Years of Progress: Conference on High-Quality Development of China’s Pharmaceutical Engineering Industry,” organized by the China Pharmaceutical Engineering Design Association to commemorate its 30th anniversary, was held in Beijing on November 24, 2023. As a council member of the association, Shanghai Hanguang Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the conference.
From 1953 to 2023, China’s pharmaceutical engineering design industry experienced 70 years of development. It evolved from a design office of just over one hundred employees into a leading Grade-A design institute, supporting Chinese pharmaceutical companies in expanding overseas and earning recognition from international pharmaceutical giants. Following its transformation, pharmaceutical engineering companies emerged and successfully shifted from design-focused organizations to engineering enterprises providing full-lifecycle pharmaceutical engineering services, establishing significant industry influence.

The conference featured two main themes. The first covered the association’s 30th-anniversary awards, plaque presentations, and related activities. The second focused on trends and prospects in the pharmaceutical industry.

As Director of the Pharmaceutical Laboratory Engineering Technology Center of the China Pharmaceutical Engineering Design Association, President Hou Haifeng stated that Hanguang Technology Group would assume its responsibilities as the center’s leading organization. By fully leveraging advanced concepts and professional technologies, the group will actively promote the advancement of laboratory construction and provide scientists in China and abroad with standardized, efficient, safe, and comfortable research environments.
